What is Taste Supply?

TasteSupply relies heavily on Shopify to import vendor products and

manage orders. The current integration is unstable: product updates do

not always sync, important product fields are missing, orders lack

fulfillment updates, and vendors sometimes miss notifications.

Additionally, the product tagging workflow is inefficient, vendors must

manually tag each product with “TasteSupply” in Shopify. The client

requested improvements to simplify this process, add approval steps,

and enable category filtering.

Technology Migration

Refactor of the codebase from JavaScript to TypeScript, ensuring type safety and deploying tested changes through a staging environment on AWS.

Platform upgrade to Node.js v20 to improve performance, compatibility, and long-term support for the integration services.

  • Handling of multiple tracking numbers

  • Notifications to vendors on order placement and fulfillment
