Melt Studio built the first version of StyreIQ — a social media governance platform for large organizations — as part of its pro-bono prototype program: a central registry of every official account, role-based access across units, and a risk dashboard, deployed and demo-ready.

StyreIQ: a social media account registry for large organizations

Universities, city and state governments, school systems, and healthcare systems don't have one social media team — they have dozens or even hundreds, each running its own accounts. StyreIQ gives the central team one place to see every official account, who owns it, and where the risk is, while each unit keeps running its own.

The challenge: no shared view of who owns which account

In a decentralized organization, accounts get created, handed off, and forgotten without anyone keeping track. That's where the risk lives: an account with no owner, no two-factor authentication, or no activity for months. Before governance workflows, training, or audits can work, an organization needs the foundation: a complete, accountable list of its accounts.

The solution: a central registry with role-based oversight

We built that foundation first, as a hub-and-spoke model:

• A central registry where every account is listed, reviewed, and updated, organized by department, team, or unit in a nested hierarchy.

• Owners and role-based access for Social Media Managers, Unit Admins, and Super Admins, with approval flows for supervisors.

• Basic risk flags, such as whether two-factor authentication is on or whether an account has gone inactive.

• Onboarding and offboarding forms, so every account stays tied to a person, a team, and an action plan.

• A risk dashboard with filters, plus early data capture from YouTube and X to show real account activity.

How a dedicated team delivered it sprint by sprint

A dedicated team worked in weekly sprints with regular demos to StyreIQ's stakeholder, turning feedback into new user stories as it came in. A landing page with a demo request flow went live alongside the product, on Vercel with Resend for email.
