Qima Ventures
Omar ran his SPV syndicate across scattered tools. We built Qima Ventures an invite-only investor portal, now live in production.

Melt Studio built Qima Ventures an invite-only investor portal for its SPV syndicate — deal marketplace, access control per deal, NDA-gated deal rooms, and a commitment flow through Sydecar — as part of its pro-bono prototype program, and deployed it to production for founder Omar Zaki.
Qima Ventures: an investor portal for an SPV syndicate
Omar Zaki runs Qima Ventures, a syndicate that brings investors into deals through special purpose vehicles (SPVs). The business already worked: Omar had deal flow and investors. What he wanted was a professional, central place to present each opportunity and take an investor from discovering a deal to committing to it.
The challenge: a manual deal flow that capped how many deals Omar could run
Deals, updates, and investor conversations were spread across email, WhatsApp, and several third-party tools. Every new deal meant more manual work, which limited how many deals Omar could launch. And some deal information had to stay tightly controlled, visible only to the right investors at the right moment.
The solution: an invite-only deal marketplace built on trusted third-party tools
Omar didn't need to rebuild banking, KYC, or SPV compliance — trusted tools already handle those. So we built the investor experience around them:
Invite-only onboarding with a short investor profile (sectors, deal size, stage) so each investor sees the right deals.
A deal marketplace with access set per deal: public, private, or invite-only.
NDA-gated deal access: the investor signs the NDA from an automated email, and the deal unlocks on its own — no manual approval per investor.
A commitment flow that hands the investor to Sydecar (or another investment platform) to commit funds.
Separate admin and investor dashboards, with a new UI designed for the platform.
We started from Omar's early no-code prototype and rebuilt it on Melt's production-ready Startup Starter Kit. Features like an AI assistant and investor-created deals went to a Phase 2 roadmap, so the first version could ship.
How a dedicated team delivered it sprint by sprint
A dedicated team — developers, a designer, a project manager, and our CTO — working in weekly sprints with a demo at the end of each one. Omar approved each flow as it landed, and the team configured deployment and email delivery on his own infrastructure.
Results: an investor portal live in production, with a Phase 2 roadmap
The full MVP roadmap delivered and deployed to development and production environments.
The NDA access flow completed end to end, from signing to unlocked deal.
A handoff package and a Phase 2 roadmap for what comes next.
"It's great. Definitely exactly what I envisioned in terms of user experience and look and feel." — Omar Zaki, Founder, Qima Ventures
