EagleX

Eagle X sells drones to defense and commercial buyers. We built one brand kit and a commercial site that speaks to both.

Melt Studio designed the brand foundation and commercial landing page for Eagle X Aerospace, a US company building AI-driven autonomous drones for defense and commercial markets, as part of its pro-bono collaboration with the Q-Branch accelerator.

Eagle X: autonomous AI drones for defense and commercial markets

Eagle X Aerospace builds production-ready, AI-driven tactical drone platforms. The same technology serves two buyers: government agencies that need military-grade capability, and private companies that need it for civilian work. The founders came to Melt through Q-Branch, a US accelerator for defense and frontier-tech startups.

The challenge: one brand for two very different buyers

A defense agency and a commercial enterprise buy for different reasons and read a website differently. Eagle X needed one identity that both would trust, and a clear way to explain its dual-use positioning, before taking the product to either market. The brand system (colors, type, logo) wasn't defined end to end yet, so every page decision depended on it.

The solution: a brand foundation and a dual-use commercial landing page

We fixed the foundation first, then built on it:

  • Brand foundation: a blue-based color system with limited red accents, typography rules, and a refined version of the founders' eagle-that-doubles-as-an-X mark, delivered as web-ready SVG.

  • A commercial landing page for private-sector buyers, designed in Figma, with copy grounded entirely in Eagle X's own pitch deck and company materials.

  • A shared identity for the government site, which Q-Branch's team built on the same brand, so both sites read as one company.

Extras like a custom graphic component library and new web sections went to a later-phase roadmap.

How design and content came together in eight weeks

A lead designer and a project manager worked with the founders over email — their preferred channel — from brand direction to logo proposals to the final page, with Q-Branch in the loop on the government side.

Results: a brand kit, a refined logo, and a live commercial site

  • A complete brand kit: color system, typography, and logo.

  • A live commercial landing page that explains Eagle X's dual-use positioning.

  • 8 user stories delivered, with a roadmap for the next design phase.
