THE CHALLENGE
Building a Training-First AI Platform from Scratch
XBlock AI needed a fully customized platform capable of instant training and video generation for fast-moving industries. Their goal: deliver AI-driven answers via voice commands and help users upskill autonomously—without relying on off-the-shelf tools or APIs.

OUR SOLUTION
Melt Studio co-built XBlock AI from concept to a functional, sales-ready platform—developing core features, improving infrastructure, and scaling the solution with advanced video capabilities and enterprise-grade security.
Requirements
Simplification
XBlock AI needed full-stack support to build a proprietary system from the ground up—avoiding third-party dependencies and allowing total control over performance, data handling, and deployment flexibility.
Application
Building
We developed the backend using NestJS, FastAPI, and GraphQL, and the frontend in React + TypeScript. Infrastructure was deployed via Kubernetes and Terraform, with Sentry and Datadog for monitoring. AWS services like Transcribe added voice support.
Prototype
Release
The platform was delivered in iterative versions—reaching sales-ready state (v0.0.6) and later enhanced with multi-factor authentication, calendar invites, and AI-generated reports. Despite external blockers halting final release, key features were completed.

I just remember her and the team just walking me through and it was like, this is real.
