Melt Studio partnered with Semgraph to develop an advanced AI-powered knowledge graph platform that integrates data from multiple APIs and web sources to generate meaningful semantic networks. The system empowers users with enhanced information retrieval, relation extraction, and intelligent graph visualization—turning raw data into actionable insights through sophisticated NLP and backend engineering.

Semgraph aimed to construct a flexible platform capable of collecting, analyzing, and visually representing data across domains using natural language processing and advanced graph analytics. It needed a technical partner to implement robust data pipelines, integrate AI models, and enable real-time semantic graph creation.

Requirements
Simplification
We structured Semgraph as a modular system with specialized components for data fetching, NLP processing, and entity graph modeling. Each component was tailored to handle specific tasks like entity recognition, summarization, and relationship mapping—simplifying integration and boosting clarity.
Application
Building
Melt Studio developed the platform using React for the frontend and Node.js with NestJS on the backend. We incorporated BERT-based summarizers, Spacy for NER, and neural models for relation extraction. The system was deployed with containerization and CI/CD using ArgoCD.
Prototype
Release
The platform reached a production-ready prototype featuring entity linking, source traceability, graph visualization, and AI summarization. While still under development when archived, the Semgraph prototype demonstrated robust NLP-driven data transformation.

A quick shoutout to Melt, it's been several months now and it's clear that our new dev team has been crushing expectations all around. Shoutout to Camila who has been killing it on uhc and flex, especially on uhc, which basically gave us documentation for a platform that only exists in their dreams. Considering she's doing this without a test environment which uhc guaranteed us, Camila has put in a lot of elbow grease to make this implementation seemingly smooth sailing. Additional shoutouts to Yuli and Miguel who both have stepped into the shoes of past RPS teammates to support internal operational functions as well as put the pedal on the gas to churn out product developments. Lastly to Yulys and Austin who have seamlessly taken in the project reigns from Natali alongside the rest of Melt. Special shoutout to Sebastian who is always helping from the shadows but more recently has been contributing a great deal of effort to help resolve some longstanding revenue analytics issues. So thank you to our Melt teammates for being able to hop in immediately, helping EM put some very big pieces into place at this critical moment of our company's growth! 🎉🎉
